This tabletop is suitable to use with legs from our Build Your Own Desk range. It's not suitable to use with underframes from our office range (like MITTZON, TROTTEN or IDÅSEN).

Care

Wipe clean using a damp cloth and a mild cleaner.

Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.

Safety and compliance

This table has been developed and tested for home use and is not suitable for installation of a screen stand. Maximum evenly distributed weight is 50 kg. Do not place concentrated weight exceeding 15 kg on a small surface on the table.This table has been developed for home use and meets the requirements for durability and stability set forth in the following standards: EN 12521 and EN 1730.

Okay desk top - over pricedAndreaI bought this desk a few years ago for 2 of my kids. At the time it was super affordable - $10. With the legs it was $30 which was great. It’s not the most durable top but with a desk protector it does the job. My youngest son wanted the same desk so I got it for him for Christmas. The legs are now $10 each (they have doubled in price) and this desk top was a ridiculous $40. It’s a $10 desk top and if it hadn’t been for the fact my son wanted this and only this I would never have spent this kind of money on something that scratches easily, dents easily and is not all that durable. At $10 it was a great deal. At $40 it’s ridiculously over priced.3

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
